REQUIREMENTS OF REGISTERING BULK SMS SENDER ID

Bulk SMS is a service that enables one to send message to a large audience at once.

A sender ID is a unique name that sends messages, for instance you get messages from some of you service providers like banks with the SMS branded their name like ‘EQUITY BANK’ .You can as well have a business sender ID your customers can identify you by your unique name. The SMS will be branded your business name instead of a phone number

Basically a sender ID is a name that is displayed on the top of the message, it identifies who has sent a message

To register a sender ID you will require

• company/ business registration document
• KRA pin

MAXIMUM LENGTH OF A SENDER ID

A sender ID must only have a maximum length of 11 characters. A sender id can only contain letters, underscore and numbers, spaces aren’t allowed in a sender ID
