HOW TO CONFIGURE SSL CERTIFICATE
SSL means secure socket layer. SSL certificate ensures secure internet connection and it protect your website from malware and attacks, it as well protect your client’s data.
1. Login to Webcom client area. You will be prompted to enter your email address and password
2. On the menu bar click on ‘services’ on the drop down select ‘my services’
3. On the new tab under the services select on the SSL certificate that you want to configure
4. On the new tab scroll down and click on ‘configure now’
5. On the new tab fill in the server information and the administrative contact information
6. Login to your cPanel to generate the SSL certificate
7. On the cPanel search for ‘SSL’ select on the option SSL/TSL
8. On the new tab under certificate signing requests (CSR) click on’ Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.’
9. On the new tab fill in the form to generate the SSL certificate, once you are done filling the entries click ‘Generate’. The mandatory fields are marked with a asterisk.
10. On the new window you will access the generated certificate. Copy the Encoded Certificate Signing Request
11. Go back to the client area and past the encoded certificate under. Then scroll down and click continue
12. On the new window you will be prompted to enter certificate approval email where the approval email request for this certificate will be sent. Then click continue. You will receive an email on the email address that you have entered for approval.
13. Open the email, copy the validation code and click ‘confirm validation’
14. On the new window paste the validation code.
