How to change WordPress website password via the database

  1. Login to the cPanel, using  the URL to the cPanel  i.e. yourdomainname.co.ke/cPanel, then enter the cPanel login details to access the cPanel.
  2. On the cPanel and search ‘PHP’, select on ‘phpMyAdmin’

  1. Onto a  new window select your database then click on ‘users’

  1. On the new tab click on ‘edit’ user

  1. On the new tab you will be able to change the password on the ‘user_ pass ‘field enter your password, then click on the drop down allow on ‘user_pass’ field and select ‘MD5’ to encrypt your password. Click ‘Go’ to update the password
